Boxing Programs (Registration Opens July 12 for Fall Season)
PEE WEE (KID-PARENT) BOXING, 6 – 9 YEARS OLD
This is the fundamental stage according to the Canadian Sport for LTAD model. The primary focus is athletic motor skills development (run, jump, throw, catch, kick, hit, push, pull) with an introduction to basic skills of boxing in a non-contact manner.
JUNIOR “A” TECH BOXING, 10 – 12 YEARS OLD
This is a technical Olympic-style boxing and sports conditioning program for children ages 10 to 12 years old. Participants are taught technical Olympic-style boxing skills following the Athlete Development System along with physical sports conditioning in a non-contact manner.
JUNIOR “B” TECH BOXING, 13 – 15 YEARS OLD
This is a technical Olympic-style boxing and sports conditioning program for children ages 13 to 15 years old. Participants are taught technical Olympic-style boxing skills following the Athlete Development System along with physical sports conditioning in a non-contact manner.
YOUTH TECH BOXING, 16 – 19 YEARS OLD
This is a technical Olympic-style boxing and sports conditioning program for participants ages 16 to 19 years old. Participants are taught technical Olympic-style boxing skills following the Athlete Development System along with physical sports conditioning in a non-contact manner.
Interested individuals will start with the non-contact “Tech Boxing Fitness” on Tuesday and Thursday 5:30 pm, where they will learn the basic skills of the sport…
Note
After successful completion of the non-contact introduction to basic Olympic-style boxing skills and physical sports conditioning, students interested in learning contact boxing would be introduced to contact boxing in a controlled and progressive learning manner. If they are under the age of 18 years old, they would require parental written approval.
